Armored Core 5 Concept Art

Armored Core 5 Concept Art
From Software released Armored Core 5 concept art with the AC Chronicle Art Works booklet that came with Last Raven Portable.
For the look of the concept art, there seems to be more moving parts built in, maybe we will see some transforming or extra functionality for each part.

So it seems that not all of AC5’s ACs are gonna have that short, stocky form. That makes me happy.

I agree with Razorclaw but I would advocate a broader statement. They had better bring all previous parts into the next one. I dont care how the new ones look but A: I want to load my game data from AC4 and B: I want to be able to use my old mech from the beginning; I also want all my parts to start with to. But that last one might be to much. In any event Im looking forward to a more visual experience AND EVEN MORE PARTS!!! YEAH!!!! :)

I don’t really want any parts from the previous game back. I think Armored Core needs a new start, a completely new approach will allow them to re-invent parts, etc. I don’t think they could have made another game on top of what they had, considering they had Kojima-based LW, MW and HW, shell-based LW, MW and HW, energy-based LW, MW and HW, AP-based LW and MW (GA kind of merged the AP with the shell defence and covered HW), even an all-rounder and a slightly different all-rounder (Hogire and Lancel for MW, not to mention Soldner).

However, I do believe that there should be a bonus for having an ACfA garage. I don’t mean being able to import the ACs, that would involve the parts. I mean perhaps a head start in schematic unlocks, an extra few emblems, or even an exclusive weapon, or some concept art. I like the way other series reward loyalty, and I think that FROM needs to get on board and stop being so unsupportive of it’s games. Good games are made well. Excellent games also feature free DLC, and ongoing input from the developers. But I digress.

In short, I don’t think they should bring any parts back, but that they should reward ACfA players. ^^

I don’t think they should bring any parts back in AC5, because they were exhausting possibilities. However, I am glad they are taking a little more asymmetrical approach. I remember thinking how hopeless the rust patterns looked in ACfA because they were mirrored.
