Armored Core RPG will return!
For those of you who spent countless hours trying to acquired that ZIO Core on the original forum RPG game, I have good news. The Armored Core RPG will return this summer!
Q. What is the Armored Core RPG?
A. The Armored Core RPG was a forum-based AC game that was very popular back in 2006 when it was launched. It featured over 45 hours of gameplay where you took your MT and eventually became an Armored Core pilot and took on missions.
Q. When will this be back?
A. The RPG will take some time to complete, the first one took me 3 months and over 120 hours to write. This one will be somehow less complicated but much more fun.
Q. What can I do to help?
A. Post on this thread and let me know what you want to do to contribute, the jobs are posted below.
1. Graphic gurus, convert Armored Core fan art and images into images that we can use on the game. This would include maps, AC parts, game backgrounds etc.
2. Armored Core sounds, yes, we need original AC sounds from any game to go with the game. This could as simple the sound you hear when you press "start" or when you back out from an area.
3. Story and fan fic writers! Come up with a great Armored Core short story to use as the basis of the RPG, any idea is better than mine so post up!

Ok, I went through my external during my transfer to my new laptop and I have successfully rebuilt my entire Sound Effects library. About 200 something sfx, 140 of them are mech related. I have a good AC sfx already ripped.
I'll pm you the link to download the zip file for all my mech sfx.

I think I'll take a stab at a story plot:
You start the game as a regular run of the mill, MT pilot who works at LineArk Laboratory "L LAB 9",(you can give him a set name or a pilot can feel free to name them whatever they feel like), he has great piloting skills, but whenever the Lynx graduation test comes for him to prove himself worthy of piloting a company AC he gets all nervous, twitchy, and his piloting skills decline. (you can flash back here to an example of such a test where he accidentally destroys a friendly AC and accidentally blows up the objective he is suppose to be protecting.)
He is a bit of a loner, and often eats by himself, and goes off on his own, but whenever someone is being picked on or someone is in need, he does his best to help. One day during a routine MT job (taking out trash, repairing a pipe, building a structure, etc..) a random & massive explosion goes off in a part of the facility. Sirens sound and a voice can be heard over the loud speaker that "AN ENEMY AC HAS BEEN SPOTTED ATTACKING THE FACILITY, ALL LYNX PILOTS TO THERE AC's, ALL MT PILOTS BEGIN FIRE AND STRUCTURE CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES) So the he rushes off to help with the fires and structure damage. The area is chaos, fires and fallen building everywhere. Bullets, missiles, rockets, lasers firing in every direction.
While putting out a fire a White enemy AC comes crashing through the building and falls next to his MT. Startled at first, he begins to run away, but while he is running he hears a voice, a female voice over his comm saying ".....wait....." He slows down wondering where it's coming from, he hears it again "WAIT!*cough**cough*" He then realizes the woman's voice is coming from the enemy AC that just crashed next to him. He looks back at the AC and the cockpit is open. Inside is a beautiful, but bleeding, Blonde girl, whose hand is stretching out towards him. He knows that this is the enemy, but she needs help. He struggles inwardly for a bit, but then rushes toward her. When he gets there, he leaves his MT and picks her up. He begins to carry her out, but she stops him, saying, it's too late for her, but she has something for him. she removes a metal armband that resembles highly polished silver, with an LED display on top. He asks what it is, but she drifts off into eternity in his arms before he can get an answer. He lays her down and picks up the armband.
What hit him next was both unexpected and unsettling. The moment he touched the armband, it attached itself around his wrist then everything went dark, and he felt like something was pulling him in every direction at the same time. He was totally disoriented, up was down, left was right, forward was back, he felt like he was spinning out of control yet standing still at the same time. Suddenly, everything around began to warp and distort. Tings were changing colors and the brightness of the area began to fluctuate between light and darkness. Then it all stopped. Taking a few moments to orient himself he stood up and *BANG*"ouch!" he hit his head on something above him, he looked up and around and realized he was inside the cockpit, but of what he did not know.
He suddenly realizes he hears something like a voice from a radio. He strains his ear to listen..."I repeat, can you hear me Raven?, this is Jack-O, forget about Zinaida, retreat immediately, an unidentified Mech had been detected in your area, it is not safe I repeat, this i.............." His concentration on the radio voice wains as he looks outside the cockpit and sees a Mech smaller than the Lynx AC's he knows, but larger than a Normal's AC. "What is this?" he wonders. Then he looks down and sees that it has set it's sights on another Mech that appears to be a Dark Grey Normal AC. The normal AC charges up it's OB and darts off and the other Mech follows after it. He hear's the radio voice again..."I have sent the map coordinates, for our rendezvous point, to your AC, meet me there." He looks down and sees a small radar with a blinking light which he assumes is the point the radio voice just said. "wait..." he says, "didn't he just say his name was Jack-O? not the Jack-o right? I mean, that was from the Great Pulverizer War era, that was over 300 years ago, it can't be, there must be a MISTAKE!" he shouts the last word, "I'll go see this guy and see if i can figure out what is going on." So he sits down in the cockpit and begins to pilot his way to the rendezvous point."
When he begins to reach the point he sees an AC energy signature is already there waiting. As he gets close he looks out his AC's cockpit and sees an AC, as he looks it over he begins to murmur to himself the AC's description," it is White and Blue, it's a Heavy Bipedal Normal AC, is uses an old generation Karasawa, HOLY CRAP!!" he begins to scream "What the heck is goin on here, the AC is identical to the Textbook description of the great Raven of Old Jack-O, who fought in the Great Pulverizer War, how is this possible!?" "I can explain" a computerized female voice says, and startles Him, "who said that!?" he shrieks, "on your wrist." the calm computerized female voice explains. He remembers the odd wristband he had just picked up earlier and looks down. "you?" he exclaims, "yes." it calmly answers."I am a Time Era Repositioning Apparatus, you can call me TERA, for short." "Tera?" he says"Who or what are you exactly?" "I am a time traveling device" she explains "designed by The Architect" "Time traveling DEVICE?" He exhausts out of his lungs. "How? Who is this Architect?" he asks "No one knows" she explains. "all anyone knows is that he is a genius and...." "Are you alright Raven" a deep masculine voice asks, startling Him. He had forgotten about his rendezvous with Jack-O. "it really is him..." He says gaping at a very real Jack-O standing in front of him."I really have traveled back in time."
I will leave the narrative there for now. This is the idea i have for the Story Plot. It sort of has a "Quantum Leap" feel where you are taking over the body of the different pivotal ravens of the past and going through life in their shoes, all the while no one knowing who you really are. Except TERA. After you succeed in beating the major boss from the different chapters you are then warped to another pilot, further back in time then the prior pilot. As you go through the game different facts become known to you. We will have to take a little lee-way with some of the storylines but i think we can keep pretty close for the most part. At the end you realize that the Genius Architect that made TERA is the same as the one who Made the White Glint AC, end you figure out that the White AC pilot you tried to help was piloting White Glint, and that the pilot of White Glint discovered something about LineArk and rebelled against it and set a course to destroy something at L LAb 9, which you discover is 9Ball backwards, and that your lab was recreating the 9Ball epidemic and that the 9Ball AI was behind alot of the destruction of the past and the current problems now. The 9Ball AI was responsible for the Pulverizers, Tracers, 9ball renditions, the organisms, even ordered Leos Klein to do what he did. Your final boss is set in a time space warp dimension where you have to defeat 9Ball, regular form, then Seraph Form, then Ultimate 9Ball form, a 3 stage boss. After that you phase back to the Cockpit of the White Glint in your time, and you take it over and destroy the facility, eliminating the 9Ball threat from ever re-appearing.
Chapter 1 - You start as a everyday MT pilot who wants to Be a Lynx pilot. But gets nervous in battle. The main character will be forced to overcome this when he is thrown into a series of major situations. First his base gets attacked and he is helping out when a White enemy AC comes flying by, he tries to help her but she dies, but he receives her wristband which throws him back in time. Where he comes in as the Unknown raven from the Last Raven series that we all piloted and he is on the mission to eliminate Zinaida when the first Pulverizer shows up. HE then goes to meet Jack-O a old war vet from the Great Pulverizer War, and can't believe it. The wrist TERA then explains to him that she is a time traveling device. You then follow the Unknown Raven as he follows the orders of Jack-O story line till you become the Last Raven. You will fight a few AC battles while in this chapter. You fight all of the pulverizers, then at the end Zinaida and the Super Archangel Pulverizer. All along the way you are getting over your battle nerves and becoming more skilled. After you defeat the last Pulverizer you feel that warping feeling again then you end up on hangar of a plane, and you see a tracer in front of you.
Chapter 2 - After defeating the tracer, Tera tells you that you have been transported to the Silent Line Era. You will basically follow the Crest missions, defeat a few AC's, destroy the different Tracers, and destroy IBIS in the end, then you are warped out and you find yourself inside the Murakumo Dome
Chapter 3 - After you defeat the 2 AC's in here, TERA tells you that you are now in the Phobos Era of AC. You will follow the Zio Matrix mission line then Earth Government line, you will go to the underground railway, abort missile launch, underground lab, space station assault, STAI battleship then phobos. After the defeat of Klein you will then be warped into the "BIG HIT" a giant crater and apparently had just destroyed something Murakumo Millenium wanted very much.

Chapter 4 - A tank shows up at the crater and you destroy it. TERA informs you that you are in the 9Ball Era. You will follow the chrome story line for the most part then finish with Raven's Nest line. At the end of this is when you put all the pieces together and figure out that 9Ball was behind all of the problems and that 9Ball is L Lab 9 backwards and the whole thing I said earlier, after you defeat Hustler 1, you go and find the Machine that contains the original 9Ball AI and as you go to destroy it you are phased out of space and time and on the brink of reality you see 9Ball, in AC form.
Chapter 5 - First you fight 9Ball, easiest form, then he goes stage 2 to 9Ball Seraph, more powerful and quicker, then after that he goes Stage 3 to Ultimate 9Ball form, most powerful. After you defeat him you are warped back your time, you take over White Glint and destroy L Lab 9.
I am kind of going with an AC mesh of story lines and kind of molding them into one universe.
I was thinking of calling it: Armored Core: Origins
Here is my idea, tell me what you guys think, and what changes/additions should be made.
*sorry for double post, my original post was too long to fit in one post.*

You go upside down.
I'd say, we go time fusing.
Here's my plan, inspired from A.C.E.
There are actually three earths in reality, one earth is the AC4-ACFA one (polluted or still healthy, the one you prefer), one earth is the AC:MOA era (Underground), and the last one is the AC:LR era (Destroyed Landscape).
They are meant to be seperated in three different dimensions, but something goes wrong.
RAYLEONARD foundation, or any great AC4-FA company you know, does some experiment with time travel ( they want to undermine their demise ). The thing fails, and instead, it creates a dimensional portal.
This opens up relations between the three worlds. The AC:LR Ravens are the most skilled pilots ever to exist, but their craft aren't the best, and they're very few in number. The LYNX are rather new, but have got excellent, overpowered craft. The AC1 era Ravens are average, but very numereous, save for NINEBALL who's godlike.
The player first evolves as a Raven in the AC1 era, a relative newby. He then gets to slowly build up. He can choose between piloting a NEXT and a NORMAL. The advantages and disavanteages would be:
- Pilot a NEXT, you need lots of NORMAL experience
- Pilot a NEXT, you will have lots of enemies (they aren't really liked), and few allies
- Pilot a NEXT, you've got a very powerful AC
- Pilot an AC1 NORMAL, you've got low payment fees.
- Pilot an AC1 NORMAL, you'll usually have lots of consorts
- Pilot an AC1 NORMAL, you need to be two or four to kill a NEXT (encourages parties)
- Pilot an AC:LR NORMAL, you've got an inbetween of AC1 units and NEXT.
- Pilot an AC:LR NORMAL, you get lots of bounties to acquire, as your reputation is very high
- Pilot an AC:LR NORMAL, you need at least a partner to make sure you can take down one NEXT.
- Pilot an AC:LR NORMAL, you get more mission choices than others do.
Something like that. NEXT - NORMAL population ratio should be 1-3 at least.
Great Pilots that are roaming this world are:
- Jack-O
- Evangel
- Berlioz
- Ostdarva
- AC4 Protagonist (White Glint)
- Nineball
- Pulverizers (There were actually more than one intercine...)

I can get screenshots of AC Parts and perhaps MT's from the PSP versions. My screenshot abilities are limited to the PSP, sadly. Let me know if you are interested.

If you can get me clean pictures of MTs, pics that we can cut and crop so that we can use them in a 2D environment that would be great.
Also, thanks to everyone that has posted their support, this will require a lot of time and effort from everyone to get done.
I like some of the stories so far, we will go into more detail as we move forward.

I'll see what I can do. They will definitely look clearer than my avatar image. No AC parts then?

Yeah AC parts, but they must look 2D for us to be able to use them.
